Snowboarding near Vegas

Does anyone have any suggestions on any places to snowboard near the Vegas strip. I googled a place called Lee Canyon..has anyone been there to recommend it. Reviews were mixed.

I have been there. Lee's Canyon/Mt. Charleston is the ski resort to go to if you want a day trip from Vegas.

Brian Head is about 3 hours as apposed to Lee Canyon which is about 45 minutes from Vegas. Brian Head is worth a drive up. They get WAY more snow in Brian Head than Lee Canyon, has more skiable acreage, and more lifts. If you are limited on time then Lee Canyon would do but I'd recommend BH since it's not too far.

Lee Canyon may be in the minor league of ski resorts but it is an easy 45 minute drive away. 6 hours of driving plus skiing makes for a long day trip.
