I'm thinking about going to this resort in August. I'm seeing some mixed reviews online. However, it appears to be a nice place. Does anyone on here have any experience at this resort?

Thanks!

What is the price? You can probably rent a house with a pool for what you are paying

Thought about going there for our honeymoon. The beach looks immaculate and free golf was enticing. However I read there wasn't much night life and after dinner it gets kind of boring so we decided against it. It was definitely our second choice though.

We got married there and stayed for our honeymoon. The vibe there is very mellow and relaxing. The beach at Emerald Bay is incredible and the staff was friendly. Food was good and I liked the golf course. We had a blast and would definitely go back but it does get quiet at night so if you’re big nightlife people then Emerald Bay probably isn’t for you

I never recommend all inclusive, but if you do be sure to rent a car and leave the resort a few days. I thought all of these were better than Emerald Bay Beach

Emerald Bay beach is in my opinion one of the worst beaches in Exuma. Lots of washed up seaweed( they try to pick it up in morn). Water is not nearly as clear as all the other beaches mentioned. My favorite ic Tropic of Cancer beach. Window pain clear.

Never stayed at the resort but you absolutely need to rent a boat at least one day and go exploring yourself. The island is super easy to navigate and there are incredible beaches that you can just pull up and anchor and there will not be another sole in sight.
This is a boat we rented and every time we went to this beach in Moriah Harbour we had it to ourselves. Contrast that with say a beach in Destin.

Went one year ago for 20th and thought it was excellent. the beach and service was top notch. The golf was great. The food was good but could have been better all round. It was the ultimate relaxation of getting away from it all and was with every penny.

If you have to have a nightclub go somewhere else. If you like sitting at the bar and have a couple of drinks it works just fine. Some folks poo poo Sandels but it is the gold standard for a reason.

Thanks for the info! Looks like an awesome island. I definitely want to get out and drive around in a boat myself. Also, not looking for nightlife. I've got 4 young kids and am looking to get some relaxation in for a few days.

Question for those that went: Did you all get a travel agent? If so, can you pass along their info?

Thanks!

If I was going to Exuma I would do as Motorboat suggested. It's a much better experience.
