Looking for recommendations for road trips from BR. Anywhere from 3-10 days.

Father/son stuff. Looking at cape canaveral for a space launch and the Alamo already. Anything that’s particularly scenic towards Tennessee or past San Antonio?

Scenic from BR, I always found north of ATL through the Smoky's as the best bang for the buck. North of Birmingham up through Chattanooga is great as well. Desoto Falls in NE Alabama is worth seeing, as is Cloudland Canyon just over in GA.

New Mexico/ Arizona trip post

An itinerary for a trip to the west was posted recently. You might get some ideas from that.

The Smokey Mountains are great. Obviously tons of outdoor father/son stuff to do.

Thank you for the replies so far.

Desoto falls and cloud land canyon look nice.

Looking at September October November or next spring. Really any month after the summer I guess.

My son is 4 right now.

More then 30 mins or so of hiking is probably no bueno right now.

I was thinking of driving toward the Alamo and stopping in Houston for the space center. Anywhere between and around there I should add to the list?

San Antonio has a great zoo.

We used to go to Garner State Park which is in the hill country west of SA. But that was many years (decades) ago and siblings & I were a little older than 4.
