Real ID for domestic travel
Is this being enforced yet? I've been doing some research and some sites say yes and some say no. Can anybody that has traveled in the past week or so confirm or deny this? Thanks!

Used my DL just like normal in the past week.

Didn't see any signage or anything else about upcoming changes.

I travel a lot and I've never heard of this. May be time to start paying attention.

This shite just seems like a goofy facebook/email scare chain and nothing more. They aren't going to start suddenly turning Americans away en masse from airports who are trying to fly domestically because they don't have a "special" drivers license.

I have no idea...but if you get a passport, you won't need to worry about your ID being valid. Good for 10 years, too.

I found this Washington Post article that gives a good run down for each state in the years to come.

You can also now get a LA driver license that is Real ID compliant. Just bring the required papers when you go to renew. Here is what you need: LINK

The feds have granted extensions to states like LA, but the hard deadline is January 1, 2020.

I thought I saw signs up at MSY warning about Real Id requirements.

I flew through Medford and Nola two weeks ago, with an expired (couple of months) Louisiana license and no one even mentioned anything ... no trouble with that ID.
