Going to Vegas for three days in April, a concert one night is main reason for going but what are some other things we should consider?? What else is over rated and not must dos for a quick trip?

So we didn't have a good enough example of why this is a don't?

Best time I’ve ever had we’re at the hotel pool parties during the day. Easier to mingle there and pick up strange than all the overblown clubs and such.

And if for some reason you have to, dont leave them after dinner to play poker all night. They don't fancy that.

Not sure of your preferences, but here we go.

- Hit up bellagio fountain at night. Even just walk the strip some as it's pretty awesome at night.
- Lots of good shows and food across the strip.
- Sports betting is a lot of fun and many places offer of bonuses to join. Put in 50 dollars in bets and get 50 free.
- Hoover Dam is ok if you have a rental car.

There's a lot more specific stuff to do, but this is a broad generalization. Fremont isn't too bad of an Uber ride if you want some cheap gambling. The have a zip line that I've always wanted to try that goes all the way down that strip.

Forgot about this. In my humble opinion, Mandalay Bay has the best set of pools.

I thought the same thing until I hit a $500 payout on $20 invested waiting for my flight. Nice way to end the trip. I had never played them before, so maybe I just got lucky.

If you are even the slightest fan of Michael Jackson or the Beatles go see their show. Michael Jackson's is called One and is at Mandalay Bay not sure about the Beatles.

"O" is worth going see. I heard Zumanity is pretty good. If you go to Mandalay Bay they have a pretty cool shark tank. The Mob museum is worth checking out. Take a ride on the High Roller, if you do, I recommend doing it at night so you can see the city with all the lights.

IMO The Cosmopolitan has the best sports book. If you are there go check out the restaurant called STK on the 3rd floor. You can spend a day just going down the strip visiting each casino, looking around at what each one has.

If its warm enough to hit the pool. If you want to see trashy bitches go to the pool at the Flamingo, if you want to see not trashy bitches go to the pool at the Bellagio.

I am not a big fan of eating at buffets, but I do recommend going to the one in the Bellagio. They don't have it laid out where people are hovering over the food you are about to put in your plate, they have servers and has pretty much anything you want.

That's just a small part of things you can do. It all depends on what you like, what you plan on spending, etc.

I love Vegas. Things I always recommend are:

1. See Vegas from up high. The High Roller happy half hour is fun and there is usually a groupon or livingsocial coupon. Do not pay full price for the High Roller.
2. See the Bellagio Fountains, best at night. Visit the Bellagio Conservatory to see current amazing flower display.
3. Walk the Strip. Pop into most casinos and play a $20 in a slot there if you feel so inclined. Many of the casinos are gorgeous!
4. Find a fun bar. The Cosmopolitan Chandelier Bar is pretty cool. It also has really good video poker rules to get comped drinks at their bar. The Cosmo is a gorgeous hotel. Rhumbar at Mirage is good. Whiskey Down at the MGM is pretty good.
5. If you like clubs, be prepared to get on a list ahead of time and drop lots of $$$$. Look at JackColton.com for info.
6. The Stratosphere has a good happy hour and you can go up to the 107 SkyLounge for free and watch the sunset. Afterwards, Uber down to Fremont and see the crazies.
7. See a show...you've got this covered.
8. If you want to drink much, you might pick up some stuff at a CVS. There is usually one pretty close. If not, drinks are pricy, unless you're gambling, but then, they may be even more expensive! :)

You're making me want to plan a trip!

The bar at the top of the Delano (Mandalay Bay) has great views. Overall, Mandalay offers a high end resort experience at a really good price. I think it’s the best deal on the Strip.

Absinthe at Caesars is a must over any Cirque show. Don’t go if you’re easily offended.

A lot of baws on here will tell you Fremont Street downtown but I thought it was just Bourbon Street in the desert. Not impressed at all.

The roller coaster at NYNY is worth one ride if you like roller coasters.

Sage at Aria if you’ve got a few bucks to spend on dinner. Cosmo has a great selection of restaurants.

What’s the advantage of using this website vs buying a ticket ahead of time from the venue?

We found a little bar that was outside and part of the Flamingo i think called the Bird Bar. They had a happy hour from like 3-6 where the beers were something ridiculous like a quarter for the first hour, 50 cents the second hour and a dollar the third hour. There was craps tables right next to it as well.

I like that bar. Pretty easy going. It used to be Margaritaville. It used to be even cheaper!

Do go to Freemont Street at night and watch the free concerts. Alway one of the highlights of the trip.
Do budget your money. I know a ton of people who went broke before the trip was over the first time they went.
Do take a midday nap. Vegas is a marathon, not a sprint.
Do use uber. Just because a casino looks close doesn't mean it is.
Do go to at least one nice dinner. Tons of great options in Vegas.
Do stay in the Bellagio, Ceasars Palace, Cosmopolitan area. Centrally located. Personally, I recommend Planet Hollywood for a cheaper option in that area.

You can sometimes get on a list for free on the Jack Colton website. I'm not a club fan. I'm old. LOL! But I know folks who have gone and usually it's recommended to use that website to get in. Lines are incredibly long, especially if you're not a gorgeous girl, tables are all bottle service, and you pretty much can't move inside. But hey...if you want to see a celebrity DJ, go for it! Just know you will drop $$$$. Or buy a package that includes a $100 bar card. I think that might buy 4 drinks...5 if you drink beer once you tip.
