Puerto Vallarta recommendations?

Going to Puerto Vallarta for a wedding in June and the wedding group has a villa we’re all staying at.
Decided to go 3 days early and looking for recommendations for a couple.

They have a smaller one called Casa Vellas that a great place to stay. It's closer to downtown PV and has a great golf course.
