So I'll be doing Thanksgiving in Nassau with some family, but will have my own room and probably be doing stuff on my own for a bit. Any recommendations from those who've been there? I'll be staying there a week and I'm in my 20s

Where in Nassau will you be staying? Makes a big difference.

Either way, you'll have fun.

If you're a diver or snorkeler do a trip out of Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas. Great dive shop.

Is it too late to drop out? Nassau is pretty bad with the tourist shops, crowds, filth and not much to do. I had to go for a wedding and didn't find many positives. Can't imagine spending a week there.

Might look into hiring a private boat guide or going on a booze cruise with others?

Yeah, I'm not too high on Nassau. Blue Lagoon is cool and there is a brewery on the north side of the island that isn't bad but not a ton to do.

It's a family thing so yeah I kind of can't drop out, plus I much rather be on some warm beach then back in Georgia freezing

You can always buy a day pass to one of the all inclusives or hotels and chill there for a day. I'd check the cruise schedule to make sure there won't be four ships in port that day unless you actually want to hang with a bunch of cruisers (not knocking it- for a single guy it's not a bad strategy).

Already have my own room at one of the hotels and pretty sure it's all inclusive. Just not sure the name of it

You can stay at your hotel, just go spend the day over at Atlantis or one of the other resorts. Those resorts have the guests that stay there but also sell day passes for cruise passengers or anyone who wants to go there and not stay the night. Cruise Critic has an entire page dedicated to excursions in the Bahamas if you're interested.

If I was young, outgoing, wanted to meet people I would likely hit the brewery right by the cruise terminal about 11 am then make my way to Atlantis. If I wanted something less crowded and more "fun" I might opt for Blue Lagoon (although it's pricey). If I wanted to be alone and chillax I would find another smaller hotel that sells day passes.
