Any suggestions on the best approach to parking for two weeks?

Park at a friend's house and uber to/from. Or if you're coming from BR, snag a one way rental each direction. Can usually find a discount code that waives the drop fees.

Park N Fly or US Park will be the cheapest for that long.

The credit card lot is $11 per day.

Park and Fly might be a tad cheaper.

If you are from out of town with an early flight where you plan on spending the night several of the hotels offer free parking/shuttle with the room. I have done this at Crowne Plaza and what I would have paid for parking bought the room.

I used US Park back in Nov/Dec for 16 straight days and it was $300.79 for a covered spot. $239 was the actual parking charge and then a bunch of ridiculous taxes & fees. The sign out front when I arrived said $12.95 (for covered), but they charged me $14.95 for all 16 days. I tried to argue at the gate, but was too exhausted and gave up. I usually go with the credit card lot. It's an easy walk into the airport from there, down a single sidewalk.

At that length you're better off finding a deal with them online, prepaying, or calling them directly to get a better rate.

Yeah, I learned my lesson. It was a last minute booking right around Thanksgiving. I usually catch a ride to MSY for trips that long.

I just budget for parking in the long term airport lot or garage, as I live too far from the airport for a cab or Uber. It's too damn convenient to return home to your own vehicle & not have to coordinate a ride when flights are delayed. I flew out of MSY on Tksgiving Day in '15, and every single solitary space at and around the airport were full. I ended up nabbing a spot in the short term garage, where the daily max rate is only $3 more than the long term garage. So it was a bit more, but better than missing a flight connecting to an international departure.

On site garages are pricey as others mentioned. I parked in short term garage for a Thanksgiving day flight last year. 10 day trip, cost me $180 to get out of gate. Long term was full, and damn near everything else was full. Sadly, we felt fortunate to find the spot we did on level 2 in the short term garage!
