Island Lake Wind River Range Wyoming is the best I’ve been to.

Iceberg lake in glacier National park is a very close second.

Delta Lake in the Tetons is nice. I hiked there two weeks ago

ETA..very challenging hike. Particularly if you link two other alpine lakes - Amphitheater Lake and Surprise Lake. Can be done in < 8 hours

I enjoyed going up to Eagle Lake from Tahoe.

Does Plitvice count as alpine? Not strenuous but awesome. Still working on my photos from my trip. Have a two year old so I get maybe 2 hours a night to myself.

Pretty much any alpine lake in Switzerland? I'm partial to Interlaken.

Naw this is as far as I've gotten. I have basically the weekends. I only used my camera at Plitvice and a little in Dubrovnik. My phone everywhere else. My wife probably has some photos I need on her phone too so to make a good report I have to organize it all together.

North Cascades NP has a lot of spectacular ones:

Lake Louise up in Banff:

Emerald Lake up in the Yukon might be the most unusual/stunning I've seen in person:

The Diablo Dam is stunning. It basically is fed from a canyon.

Ya these lakes have become "my thing" in the last year or so. Want to do a Northern Italy to Slovenia trip to see a bunch.

Do you have a coordinate for the Emerald lake you linked?

I have one saved but it's in BC near Banff. You seem to be referring to another one.

Just the favorite of what I’ve been to, but I liked

Cathedral in Yosemite.

Sky Pond in Rocky Mountain.

Edited to add my own pics.

Lake Blanche in BCC is one of the coolest given proximity to major city.

Goose lake in Red River NM is a cool place. Sketchy ride on a SxS to the top.

Coonass gonna try to fish. Even at 11,630'.
