Memphis -- Beale St Music Fest

This will be my first year, as well. I live downtown, so I just plan to hang around the downtown area. Beale street will be super crowded after, and honestly as far as downtown goes, there are very few bars outside of beale. you can do something like bardog, which is slightly off the beaten path.

if you wanna get out to get something not "touristy" for BBQ, then go Germantown Commissary. But it's a hike. Uncle Lou's for fried chicken if you don't wanna do Gus'.

Pro-tip: wear shite arse shoes. it's going to be a shite show because it's going to rain the next two days. It's also going to get a little chilly at night, so bring a sweater for the headliners.

also, if you aren't staying within walking distance, uber TO the fest but not back. taxi back. uber will surge like a mother fricker. i heard people had to pay upwards of $200 last year to get to midtown, like 6 miles away.

We like Club Handy on Beale Street. Hole in the wall, but they jam. Always a fun time when we have gone.
