Long-Haul Flights: Best way to catch some Zs?

Flying the red-eye from Denver to Iceland on Friday night and wanting to get some sleep on the way.
Haven't flown 7+ hour flight in two years. Any suggestions?

Melatonin and a stiff drink before boarding.
FYI enjoy Iceland. I went about a month ago and loved it.

Drink in the lounge before boarding. Fly in first class. Have 2-3 drinks before your meal. Take zzzquil. Piss. Lay the bed down and sleep the rest of the flight.

Soothing music and/or a relaxation/meditation track are helpful, along w noise cancelling headphones.

Benadryl and bourbon has been my best bet. Also making sure I get a window seat with an empty middle.

I flew Orlando to Iceland a few weeks ago.
Ambien, a few drinks, and ear plugs = 5 hours of sleep.
We arrived at 1:00 AM my time (6:00 AM Iceland) but the sleep on the flight helped me stay awake for the day and get on Iceland/Europe time faster.

I do everything I can to get some good exercise the day of my flight, helps you sleep but more importantly helps me not get nearly as fidgety.
Then as said, have some alcohol and a nice filling meal. I can sleep anywhere though so I'm not a good person to ask.

I flew 16.5 hours from ATL to JNB last year. Good meal before boarding. Changed to comfortable clothing and compression socks. Ambian and noise cancelling head phones produced a decent nights sleep.

Two Benadryl and the two little wines they give you. Point that air right at your chest and just try to relax. Noise cancelling headphones help too.

I’ve found it to be the best for me when mixed with booze.
