Last minute flight advice

Are there any tricks to catching last minute flight deals? Or any info I should be aware of?
Reason I ask is that we have been invited to go to Napa next weekend, but we literally will not know if we are able to attend until Thursday afternoon.

$$$$$$$$. If you can manage to find a last minute deal to Napa/San Fran, I'll be amazed. Really don't think your chances are high of finding good cheap flights especially around easter time. One option you may want to look into is southwest. You can book the flights, then if you do need to cancel, at least you have a travel credit good for one year from the booking date. No change fees on southwest

Did not know this about southwest.. thanks! Prices are still super high for next weekend as I sit here and look at them today. But in 2-3 weeks, they are back down to 197 round trip out of DFW.
