Copenhagen:
Rent a bike, its the best way to get around and experience the city. Check out Christiania....its a hippie commune and has a beer garden at the back of the property. There are also some good restaurants there. You used to be able to buy hash in kiosks there but a cop was shot last year so they shut that down. There is a lake at the back of the property you can walk around and look at the houses people have built.....some are shacks and some are really nice.
A good day trip is to the Louisiana Museum (not related to our Louisiana). Its one of the great modern art museums in the world but in a sort of ramshackle series of buildings. There is a cafe in the sculpture garden on a cliff that looks out over the ocean.

I'm headed to Barcelona at the end of June and will report back.

You'll love Bergen-it's a great little town. I recommend the seafood market (you can try whale meat), and of course taking a tour of the fjords.

Oslo is pretty weak imo.

Sounds like a great trip!

I've been to Madrid. But the time you get there, you'll be extremely tired, but just nap in the afternoon and be prepared to drink well into the morning

Super jealous, enjoy the shite out of that

6 nights in Lyon seems a bit much. Are you going to travel to the nearby coast or the Alps during those 6 days?

Curious what kind of budget you have for a trip this long. Sounds amazing and I am super jealous. Are you staying in nice hotels or hostels?

I began booking this trip last September after I found a good one-way ticket price from Miami to Copenhagen (around $250).

Throughout the trip, I'm staying in Hostels (Copenhagen, Lyon, Madrid), AirBnbs (Bergen & Oslo - surprisingly much cheaper than Hostels in Norway), and at a friend's apartment in Barcelona.

Transportation was relatively expensive between each city, however.

In total I spent around $1,800 to book this trip. That includes lodging and transportation round trip to and from New Orleans.

Hope this helps!

P.s. The Copenhagen hostel (Copenhagen Downtown) offers Free breakfast if you book directly through there website so I'm hoping that will save some money in an otherwise expensive Scandinavia.

$1800 is a steal! I know you will spend more on food and other items while there but that is an amazing price for a once in a lifetime vacation.

Try to catch a soccer game in Barcelona or Madrid. Tickets are very reasonable if it's not a huge match. They play a lot of shitty teams and it's really cool to see Messi or Ronaldo live.

Farther you go off the beaten path for tapss the better they will be.

In Barcelona buy tickets to every attraction in advance. La Sagrasa Familia, monument park, Picasso museum will be 2 hour waits if you even get in if you don't buy online before.

Look up local festivals going on. Honestly the highlight of my time there was this little festival but on by this one neighborhood where every street had a contest who could have the coolest theme and decorate
