I’ll be in New Orleans this weekend. Is this worth checking out or should I avoid?

Best festival in NOLA by far. Or at least it used to be because it was more local than most. Not sure if that’s the case now.

Yes. Weather should be great. It is my favorite festival in New Orleans. Bring cash to buy food at the booths.

Def. check it out. Go as early as you can, because it does get pretty crowded.

Definitely worth checking out if you will be in the area. I wouldn’t make a special trip to NOLA just for FQF. Plenty of better festivals in NOLA around this time.

I kinda wish they would charge admission to cut back on some the riff raff that attend free events

Pro tip: eat food in Jackson square, then walk either down royal street or over to the US mint. Do not go along the Miss River

Love it and love the food.
Sat and Sun are too crowded now, Thurs and Fri are the best days to go
We used to go when it first started and no one knew about it

Lol. That’s silly. Why?

Usually the bigger acts are on the Abita or GE stage

Yep I was there working the Quarter when it started back in the early 80's and it was so small to start...like 10 booths at Jackson Square. I knew a lot of the vendors (local startup restaurants) cause of the business I was in.

Which ones? Serious question because my wife and I try and make it in for FQF each year due to the nice weather, food options, and laid back vibe. I think we've been 4 of the last 5 and really like visiting this time of year. If there are better options, even better.
