Dallas from Shreveport - anything to do w kids in between

We will ultimately end up in Dallas but we have a few hours to kill in between. Is there anything of interest between Shreveport and Dallas that pre teen kids would like?

Visit Jefferson...the most haunted town in Texas.

The Tyler Zoo is a great option.
Gators and Friends is right outside Shreveport. Petting zoo, ziplines, go-carts, gators.

Tyler Zoo has a good rep. Haven't been in many years.
Stanley's Famous Pit BBQ in Tyler is the best known BBQ joint in East Texas.
Tanger Outlet Mall in Terrell is popular with women, maybe not kids. The Bucee's mentioned above is nearby.

Santa Land
I passed this place 1000 times driving back & forth to Dallas but never had a chance to go in.

Yesterland Farm near Canton. Right on I-20. Kids rides, corn maze. It will take up a couple of hours.

This is not at the same location. Open every weekend not just first Monday weekend. The food is not as good though.

Don't know when you are going but in Dallas the radio station traffic reports are saying traffic is backed up going into La. for well over an hour due to construction. Both directions.

Why would you not just go to dallas and do something there?
Endless options around downtown
