Staying in Bangkok for 4 or 5 nights. I’m not staying at Koah San Rd now. Should I at some point?
Full moon party at Koh Phangan for NYE. I’ll be in Koh Phangan for 3 nights.
Not sure what to do or where to go between Bangkok and Koh Phangan— looking for suggestions.
I have 30 days total. I definitely want to go to Chiang Mai and do the animal santurary stuff. Koh Samoi has been recommended to me as well. I didn’t do enough research so kinda going blind but want to make the most of my time here.
I’ll need places to watch the Saints on Christmas Eve and tigers bowl game.
Give me your best, travel board!
p.s. I want to get 2 suits made here in Thailand. A couple baws from my hostel were doing it. How do I know if it’s a reputable place? How long do they take to make? If I leave Bangkok and come back a month later are they trustworthy to have my stuff for me?
DoUrden— do you have an email I can send questions to? If you don’t want to post on here, I can post mine.

Bangkok was my least favorite place there. Head up to Chiang Mai or down to Krabi

I am not an expert on Thailand and as mentioned below I also wasn't a big fan of Bangkok. There are others on here that can give you much more information. I would do some of the island tours in the Gulf of Thailand and if you dive there is some great diving to be had.
As I suggested I would spend at least a couple of days in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
I had my suits made at Emporium Armani, the will be a little more expensive thank your street shops you see but they are very good quality and they can have them done in a couple of days. You can get a suit, tie, and shirt for $100 all over Bangkok.

You've come to the right place my boy. Did you see the sticky?

Look at Kanchanaburi or whatever as an option. Erawan Falls

I have a fairly thorough review in the sticky thread. I got a suit at Siam Emporium and was very pleased.

Try to go to the floating market in Bangkok.
I had fun on Khao San road but it’s not for everyone.
If you’re there on the weekend, try to go to the big weekend market. You can eat at a ton of diff stalls, bargain for some goods ($25 Nike workout pants), and see all kinds of pets. The pet area is awesome. So many cute puppies and kittens. I saw a baby monkey too. I think it was illegal though.

With as many days as you have, i would do an overnight side trip to Siam Reap and visit Angkor Wat.
Spend more time in Chiang Mai. Less time in Bangkok.
While in Bangkok get a soapy if no wife around.

Koh San Rd was awesome.
Trip has been better than I even expected so far.
I’ll post a long review when I’m done.
to you guys.

If you go to Siem Reap do not buy from the kids selling at Angkor Wat, my tour guide took me to meet his family and I got these for $80 total.
Unfortunatly the framer did a shitty job of stretching it.
