re: Colorado Springs recommendations
Had a nice trip out to co springs a few years ago. A few things:

1) the food sucked. I regret even trying to go out to eat there.

2) weed stores are outside city limits.

3) garden of the gods was great

4) the Broadmoor was worth a look around.

You’re the second person who’s told me the food sucks.

I do want to check out the Broadmoor. And some breweries

I like Crystal Park Cantina in Manitou Springs for Mexican and margaritas.
Four by Brother Luck is good higher end in downtown.
Cerebrus has good beers and I think the food was alright.
Trinity has good beers and is by Garden of the Gods. I have eaten there but its been years.
Bristol is in a really cool building, it is an old elementary school. Their beers are meh usually and so is the food but its worth a stop.

The Broadmoor is very cool and the Cheyenne Mtn zoo behind it is badass. 7 Falls is a cool easy hike if it is open.

We had a pretty decent meal Paravinci (stuffed squash blossoms where great but seasonal) in Old Town but as many have said you dont go to Colorado Springs for the food.

You go for:
Garden of the Gods
Pike Peak
The Broadmoor (Seven Falls was great)
Manitoba Springs (we had a decent Asian lunch there)
AFA
Nice drive though mountains up to Cripple Creek

Paravinchi's

The penny arcade in Manitou Springs is pretty cool with arcade games from the past through today. It's huge.
