Going to Cabo in late August with my GF (hoping she'll be my fiance by the time we leave). Now, Im fully aware of how hot it's going to be so i dont need to hear that, but any recommendations while we are there?
We are staying at the RIU Palace and we like to eat drink and be merry. We could also be coaxed into some more adventurous activities like scuba diving and stuff.

We stayed there a number of years ago on a bachelor party. Go to town for dinner, the food at the Riu was not very good...

Late August is HOTTTT down there and peak of hurricane season.

That being said.. I love me some Cabo.

Riu Palace is 3 resorts down from where I stay. You will be on Medano Beach which is good because the others are not swimmable.

Food:
Alexanders (Thai shrimp appetizer and filet for meal)
La Dolce (Italian)
Chamuyo (Kinda a brazillian meat/steak place)
Daikoku (sushi)
Sancho's (owned by a lady from Galveston, they have boudin balls, shrimp, and great drink prices)

Day drinking/Brunch:

The Office
Mango Deck

Nightlife:

Cabo Wabo-- Chill place with good crowds
Mandela--Vegas style nightclub
Flip Flops--Cool chill bar
Jungle Bar--Grunge bar with live band

It's not really a diving or snorkeling area. The water there is nothing like the Caribbean. It is a huge sportfishing area. You can also do horesback rides and desert quad rides and the like.

Just don’t eat or drink there & you’ll be fine

Which resorts can you swim in the ocean at? Or which section of the beach/ocean is swimable?

There is an small pubic beach near Cabo, there and the area close to it is swimable. Be aware the sand is a bunch of crushed shells and rock and very course. Walking on the beach for any distance is uncomftable
