Broadway Shows New York
Is there a go to website to get Broadway tickets? Thanks

I just used Ticketmaster. There are some discount sites if you are going to see less popular or older shows

A NYC friend tipped me off to an app called TodayTix. I scored last minute seats to Phantom of the Opera. I loved seeing an oldie but a goodie on discount.

You pick the ticket up shortly before the show begins. TodayTix will have an employee outside, and you give your name to receive the tickets.

Also, Via is a rideshare like Uber Pool that is cheaper than Uber/Lyft. Via doesn't take you directly to your address. Rather, it drops you off at the cross streets. You may have to walk a block or two.

TKTS is another of the same thing you described.

I always use Broadwaybox.com It shows all the current discounts available.

I just booked a trip for October and from what I can tell it seems like most reputable websites kick you back to ticketmaster for advanced purchases

We bought all of ours from the TKTS booth in Times Square day of the show.

TKTS booth is fine if you don't care what you see and you're willing to stand in line for a long time. When I go, I have a specific show in mind, and I want to know I have a good seat to see it. The Broadwaybox website gives discount codes you can use on Ticketmaster and you can have do it online ---no time wasted standing around waiting to see what tickets are available by the time it's your turn at the TKTS booth.

Exactly.

If you know what you want to see, when it is running and what day you want to sew it on it's worth the extra money to pre-purchase. I know we want to see Frozen when we go in October and we will only have three shows to chose from. Im not going to waste time at TKTS and take a chance when I know I can get solid, affordable tickets online ahead of time.
