Best ski destination late March to first week of April

Late spring break this year, and I know spring skiing is always a crap shoot. We usually go to Steamboat earlier in the year, wondering if anyone has been late. Also considering Beaver Creek and Snowmass. Any recommendations?

I would try and go further north if possible. Late March should be good to go most places in Colorado. But the further North the better generally for colder weather. Snow is not the problem in April, its warm weather that then melts the snow. April is often the most precipitation of any month.

Lots of snow in April is the norm, not the exception, in Breckenridge.

Mammoth or Mt Hood. Both open well into summer most years. My Hood never closes I don’t think.
