Best Places to stay in Greenville SC

Westin Poinsett. The hotel lobby scenes in Leatherheads were filmed there.

Classic 1922 hotel with modern rooms in the heart of the city. Very cool walkable area with great restaurants.

All options in the previous two posts are legit. Our downtown is awesome. I had to attend a function for our chamber of commerce and through small talk found out Lafayette sent members of their planning commission here to see what Greenville was doing right. I’ve only been here 4 years but it’s an awesome town.

Stayed here over the summer on my way up to Asheville.

Good hotel. Room was clean. Had the ability to walk to the park, which is fantastic by the way. There is a great BBQ restaurant next to the park called Smoke on the Water" that I would recommend.

Anywhere downtown. Great restaurants and bars within walking distance of all the hotels downtown.

The Hyatt on Main St would be walking distance to the arena and on the main drag. Main St is full of restaurants, bars and shopping from that hotel all the way to the West End to the ball park. It’s walkable from end to end and there really aren’t any sketchy areas on Main St.

As others have noted Greenville’s Main St is looked at as a model by other cities as to what a Main St should be.
