Obviously Cantillion in Belgium just because they are unique

However my favorite was a place in Venice, Italy. Dude opened and closed when he wanted, was located on the canal, and had a great selection. Pub Day Aldo was the name of the place but I drank there 4 days in a row.

Foxy’s on JVD. 5 straight epic nights, we stayed on boat just offshore. And the dinghy drove practically drove itself.......

JVD

Any single women there or is it all married broads?

I bet the swing factor is above average.

It is my high school's favorite adult vacation spot but I chased my dreams out west so it has never been a convenient location, although I have always wanted to check it out.

Bicycle Bar in Ghent....dude is a Horder who puts most of it in his bar. You don't order a beer you just drink what he brings you. But I sat outside the bar....because there was no room inside..... talking to him one night and he admitted he has some storage units full of crap too. Next day I saw him in H&M dressed in women's clothes.

Rosies in Pelican, Ak

Its a fishing town of about 200 people, but its on the Yacht route so you get a really cool mix of people. There's a tradition of getting "Pantsed" your first time there.

I'm glad its still around. The first time I went there was about 15 years ago and the bar was cluttered but not too bad. The next time I went when we sat outside, the bar was a disaster.

Another good one is Het Blauwe Theehuis (Blue Tea House)in Amsterdam in Vondel Park.

Domestically, I went to the Travis Bar in sauasalito last month. Its hidden so you have to know its there to find it.

Yes t' Velootje Bar which translates to the Bicycle Bar.

That's the owner at the bottom right.

I could make a long list but my vote for #1 goes to the bar at La Sirenuse Hotel in Positano, Italy. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is spectacular. You sit out on the terrace with views of the hillside town to your right and the Mediterranean to your left.

Nice, Belgium has a ton of small but great bars. I found one in Dinant that had Westy 12, Cantillon, and 3F on tap and in bottles. Very low key as well. Plus a ton of Maredous products, some 20+ years.

Infiniti Bar in the Turks and Caicos.

I've not been to a lot of "cool bars" frankly like others here, but for me, this one was beautiful and stood out. Right on the water. At sunset, nothing better.

Not a hidden gem by any means, but Szimpla Kert in Budapest is certainly unique (or the other ruins pubs there) and really fun.

The Swan Bar, Aungier St, Dublin: far enough away from the touristy Temple Bar madness to attract mostly locals...current pub dates from 1860, with a beautiful all wood victorian interior from 1890, with a "ladies' snug" up front. Tiled swan logo in the side entry.

Was a lookout spot during the Easter Rising, as you can see the old prison from the upstairs windows. Hasn't been remade as a gastropub or cocktail bar. Just a proper old boozer. Website makes it appear slicker/more modern than it is: LINK
