Areas to stay in NOLA...

Friends from Ohio need a 3 Bed room 2 bath BnB or Air BNB type set up. They are on a very limited budget, and can't afford the Quarter. So they want the New Orleans flavor but not interested in Metairie etc. Oh and the 9th ward or New Orleans East are out. 
What areas would you guys recommenced they look at it?

What they are wanting doesn’t exist. You aren’t getting a safe and cheap 3/2 Air BnB in New Orleans. I would suggest staying in a hotel in the WHD.

Algiers Point, take the ferry across the river. It will drop them off on Canal in between the casino and the aquarium.

What’s their budget? My dads got some rentals in the CBD. Very nice and good location
