So we have Italy and cruises shut down, parts of Asia, etc. The Covid hasn't hit any US big cities hard yet, but it makes more sense to hit the big cities harder then rural areas considering how it spreads. I'm not convinced a huge portion of our population is just going to stay home, especially if say you live in Chattanooga and Chattanooga has Covid (just an example).

This leads me to believe our domestic beaches, lakes, and other more rural summer vacations like dude ranches will boom this summer?

Thoughts?

It's hit Boston pretty hard, actually. About 40 cases confirmed in the last week.

We do a different national park every June. This year is Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. I hope that it doesn't get more crowded than normal, but I agree with your theory. I noticed beach prices are staying steady along the gulf coast.

Still too early to tell--some drs/epidemiologists are projecting a slowing to the spread as weather heats up, which would suppress transmission in the warmer areas. We honestly don't know whether transmission will take off, as it's done in northern Italy, or not...or how long it will take to peak, given the weather as a limiting variable.

Western Hemisphere. I cancelled two weeks in Japan and replaced it with smaller trips.

Chicago in April
NYC in May
Aruba in June
Colorado in July
Napa/Portland in September
