Anyone here have experience flying Frontier?
Looking at costs of flights to some possible travel locations and I came across frontier airlines. $25/ticket Houston to Denver?? How is this possible?

They are a low-cost airline that will nickel and dime you for everything. But, if the ticket itself is cheap enough (like your $25 to Denver), then even with all the additional costs for a bag ($20/checked bag, $20/seat each way) it's still only roughly $100 for a roundtrip ticket which is a great deal. Add roughly $40 to the quoted price ticket ($25) each way and compare to southwest (if flying out of HOU), see which one is cheaper and you're good to book!

It’s pretty much identical to Spirit. If it’s really cheap and you are only bringing a very small bag (like a backpack size) then it’s worth it for sure.

I've never had any issues with them. Speaking of, Frontier just placed an order for 138 new airplanes.

It's not bad. Flying sucks anyway so you might as well go cheap.

Just flew it from Nola to Denver and had no issues.

Used it a few times from MSY->MCO for weekend trips and its been fine. Left on time, the plane looked fresher than some legacy airlines, everything was comfortable enough. Didn't pick a seat which saves you a few bucks, and got seated together with my girlfriend both times, and we packed everything into one carry on for both of us and each took a hand item, which was plenty enough for our 3 days there. For ~$100 for a weekend getaway I highly would recommend, and compared to my experiences with Allegiant and Spirit it was a million times before.

Never had an issue with them but I could never book anything other than their first direct flight of the day. They dont have very many flights so if you miss the flight or there is a cancellation, your options are very, very limited and the biggest complaint against them are their delays and cancellations.

I would assume that if something happened to that one flight, they would work with other airlines to get you on another plane.

I had no issue flying with them to Denver. Make sure you pay for bags before check in to save money.

Flew to New England on one of their deals. We had no issues coming or going. It is true that they will nickel and dime you over every bag, seat assignments, and anything else they can think of.

FYI: While sitting at our gate our flight was delayed 3.5 hours with no explanations. The flight next to us at the adjoining gate was just cancelled with no explanation. They didn't offer hotels or anything, just a "Show up tomorrow" line. There was a good deal of tension at the gate and security and police were called in to quiet people down.

Flew STL to MCO direct and wasn't a bad experience. Seats were a bit tight but not bad for a 3 hour flight that cost $98 RT. Also flew MEM to Puerto Vallarta via Frontier and had a great experience. Would fly with them again any time!

That would be an incorrect assumption, which is the main reason for so many dissatisfied customers
