Cupcake castles travels on Facebook. I recommend the woman that runs it. She lives for Disney and does a good job

Internet There hasn’t been a question asked that’s not been answered on the net . Very easy to make all arrangements necessary yourself. Good luck

You can easily do it yourself - start googling things about Disney - tips, tricks, best (fill in the blank) at Disney, etc... You'll have hours and hours of material to help you thru.

On the contrary - I don't think most Disney agents really cost you anything, so it may be worth your while. I would recommend still doing some research though - It'll suit you well.

This. Get an agent that can help you, particularly if you need something done while you're there. But do plenty of research. Everyone is different and nobody knows your family like you do.

We used Dreams Unlimited Travel - Krystin Turner

She's been excellent so far. Made all our dining reservations for us which was a chore since we have 12 people going. Answers her emails within an hour usually.

How do the Disney Travel agent's make their money?

Sure, Disney is "easy" to book. But I would definitely say as someone that goes way too often since I live in Florida that having a TA that goes often and is family oriented would REALLY help a first time or inexperienced Disney family.

Disney pays them a commission.

The legit Disney certified travel agents don't cost you a thing and can help someone new to this save money. I used a travel agent for my first trip to Disney and by the time I got there I was ready to plan my own trips. It is really overwhelming at first but you catch on quickly.

Yeah it’s free and then do everything for you.

My good friend is a Disney agent and she’s awesome. She’s a Disney freak and planned everything for us last year. Don’t know what I’d do without her. It was a life saver

A LOT of people and websites recommend SWV, so that's who we went with. However, they wouldn't make dining reservations or book fast passes for us. I'm knowledgeable enough to book everything myself if we go again, but I was just wondering if that is common?

I think Dreams Unlimited may be a more full-service company, and possibly others too.

This is just a wild guess, but could that possibly be because they don’t actually pay for those so Disney doesn’t offer a commission on it? Therefore the company doesn’t do it because they don’t make any money from helping you?
