Any recommendation for getting ranger tour tickets for Mesa Verde?

I tried to get tickets for a ranger tour at Mesa Verde today for June 30th. Tickets are made available 14 days ahead on a rolling system. Tickets for 6/30 were made available today at 8:00 am MT. Tickets for July 1st will be available to buy tomorrow at the same time.
I was on line, signed in to my recreation.gov account, ready to go, but was not successful. They were gone by 8:01 and I was not able to add my purchase to my cart.
We're going to try for another day as we will be in SW Colorado several days. Any body got any methods that might work?

FWIW - We did not do the guided tour, and still spent almost a full day at that park.

it’s pretty and all but all of the dwelling tours are ticketed.
OP that really sucks. When I was there year before last we bought them same day at the visitor center. National Park demand is then the roof. We are going to arches in July and they’ve been closing the entrance before 9am each day

We're trying to do the same thing for July 4th and having the same issues. I hope it's not closed when we go out.

I tried for earlier in the day but quickly, within seconds, realized that wasn’t going to work and clicked on the 3:00 time slot, add to cart, and got in. You then have 15 minutes to complete the purchase.
As best I could tell it doesn’t help to select the date & # of tickets before 8:00 am MT. That’s because you have to refresh the screen and then enter the date & # anyway.
