Alaskan cruise with Princess - Excursion advice

My wife and I are going on an Alaskan cruise for our 10yr anniversary. We are taking the Voyage of the Glaciers Southbound itinerary, leaving from Anchorage and ending in Vancouver.
I'm late to planning this as it has sneaked up on us. Departure date is 7/3. Any one have any suggestions for excursions that has taken this cruise before? Also looking for options in Anchorage and Vancouver as we will be spending a day or 2 in each city before and after the cruise.
Ports are:
Hubbard Glacier (cursing only no port; 1 excursion listed)
Glacier Bay (cruising only no port)
Skagway
Juneau
Ketchikan
Thanks in advance

We did that same route in Aug ‘17. I posted a review and will find a link to it.
But the quick answer:
Skagway - do the train. We did the short route but apparently there is a longer one that gets good reviews.
Juneau - whale watch trip & salmon bake.
Ketchikan- do not go to the park to see the totem poles. There is a wildlife excursion that got great reviews from those that went.
One couple we met did two glacier tours and they said they were great.
Edit:
I could not find my trip review post but did find this info about Alaska cruises. It you search the travel board you should be able to find quite a bit of information. Sorry about the pictures only being links, for some reason they convert to links after a period of time.

That's pretty cool you get to see both.
Skagway Train, very walkable town though with lots to see
Juneau Way too much to do, depends on interests and money
Ketchikan Flightseeing, Misty Fjords

Juneau- above and beyond Alaska canoe and glacier trip, go see the ice caves, incredible

We did the helicopter to the top of the glacier and went dog sledding. Will remember forever.
Whale watching was ok.
4x4s through the mountains was good time also.

Yep
They also have a very cool brown bear watching xcursion
Future expansion at the Glacier will put a visitors center in the Glacier side of the lake and motorized boats to get people there, so ice caves will be easier to access.

Taku Glacier Lodge is cool if the ceiling is above 5,000 and not raining. You fly over the Taku River which is just incredibly beautiful and have salmon at a lodge across from a Glacier. Good chance to see black bear too.
Taku Glacier is one of the largest still advancing glaciers in the world

Skagway - Take the longest White Star Railroad excursion available. We took the one that included the bus ride in to the Yukon Territory.... Juneau - Mendenhall Glacier may not be the most spectacular glacier in the world but it may be the most spectacular glacier you can drive to. We enjoyed the whale watching tour that circled Shelter Island. Juneau is a nice little town to walk around. Go see the Russian Orthodox Church if you pass it...... Vancouver is a fun city to spend a few days in as is Victoria which is a ferry ride away. I would spend as much time as possible in Victoria and Vancouver as opposed to Anchorage.

This. Theres a train, a bus, and a combination of the 2. Just be sure to take whichever goes deepest into the Yukon, which I believe will require being on the bus/van.

We took the short trip and we rode the train into Canada a few miles and then rode a bus/van back to the ship. Others took the bus up and rode the train back, I think.
The entire trip was 2 to 3 hours. We were assigned the train ride up or back; that is, we were not given a choice. We went in 2017.
The short trip was great but it seems that the longer one is better.

The longer trip goes to Carcross YT on Lake Bennett and is a full day
The old steam engine runs to Fraser Meadows, it's about a four hour trip.
The most popular goes to the border, and returns. It's the shortest of the three.
