I need suggestions on planning a trip for two. 82,500 miles in account. Any great locations I should consider? I would appreciate any advice!

AA codeshares with BA. That means you can take the nonstop, direct flight from MSY to London Heathrow for 30K points each way (per person). So your points will cover one full ticket and a partial ticket. Maybe you have other miles from other accounts that will transfer in & you can get the whole thing covered?

Thanks forgot to mention we’d depart from DFW. That's a good suggestion. Thanks.

True, but BA gonna take on some pretty significant fees onto that flight.

OP, you may be able to use those miles to get to the Caribbean. Economy Mile Saver to say, Saint Martin (SXM) is about 12,500 a person each way.

Just buy something through the AA shopping portal to extend the life of your miles.

Doesn't BA have some pretty ridiculous surcharges?

Yes, but it's still a cheap(ish) way to get to Europe on a nonstop. We aren't spoiled for choices out of MSY.

Or you can donate 1000 to charity and extend the life of your miles.

I just did MSY-DFW-CDG-LHR-LAX-MSY for 80k total for two of us. I will say that AA is massively devaluing miles.

Also, if you get any AA card, it resets your ticket every month.

Thanks Teddy and Bluestem,
Didn't know I could extend the expiration date by making a purchase or donation. I might just do that instead of rushing into something this year!
