Jacks Rose if you like bourbon and whiskey.
It’s touristy but I still really enjoy Old Ebbitt.

Old Ebbitt's is a good spot. Natural History museum was my favorite. American History museum was great especially to see the star spangled banner. The spy museum and newseum were well worth the time as well.

Holocaust museum is excellent

I’d also at least spend a half a day walking around Georgetown.

Old Ebbit’s Grill
Air and Spae Museuem
Newsuem (probably the best one we visited and you get a great capitol view)
Arlington and the changing of the guard is an absolute must
Holacust Museum- Most humbling thing you’ll probably ever do
Touristy but still absolutely worth it:
Capitol Building Tour (schedule a month or two out with your congressman/senator. The have same day but it isn’t as good)
White House (same as above but no same day)
Washington Monument
Ford’s theater
Liconl Monument
Reflection Pond
Vietnam Memorial
Advice:
Take an Uber. It’s no more than $10 anywhere to anywhere. The metro is fine, but Uber was easier.

I hate to be that guy but please don't waste your time at Old Ebbitt. It's the epitome of tourist trap DC restaurant and there are soooo many better places to go.
This is a copy of a post I made several months ago. Feel free to ask me any questions

quote:
for steakhouses I'd recommend any of the following
Joe's Seafood and Steak
Oceans Prime
Capital Grille
For small plates I've found these to be fantastic spots
Zaytinya(Greek-ish)
The Source(asian)
Proof('merican)
Doi Moi(southeast asian)
Estadio(spanish)
Jaleo(spanish)
If you're a whiskey fan, especially scotch you MUST go to Jack Rose. The food there is fantastic as well.
For an amazing dining/drink experience check one of the several michelin restaurants
Minibar(**)
Blue Duck Tavern(*)
Komi(*)
Minibar is fricking great and is def a once every few years type of dining experience
