What would be the best split of time between the two mountains?
2 or 3 days at revy, 2 or 3 days at sun peaks?

If it were me (blue/black/double black skier), I'd do 3 at revy and 2 here. If anyone in your group is more intermediate, then I'd suggest 3 at sun peaks and 2 at revy. You could fly into Kamloops/kelowna and then start at either mountain then work your way to the other one. Would suggest doing at least one way of the drive in the daylight, it's awesome.

Another interesting observation- Revy was mostly Canadians or US people, Sun Peaks is mostly Australians and New Zealanders

Last note- Revy you can walk right up to the gondola with the iKon pass, here at sun peaks you have to go to guest services to pick up a pass. I told them it was for two days so won't have to go back tomorrow

Just got into Avon, going to ski Beaver Creek tomorrow and Vail on Thursday. After that a few days at Aspen, not getting Utah snow here but looking like 4-8 inches tomorrow. Love flying into EGE, got some cool pics from the plane...

No, only other mountain town was Aspen which was cool but I am sure Telluride would top them all.

Beaver Creek was great today, constant refresh of snow and no lift lines. First time there, the place kind of reminded me of Deer Valley. Grouse Mountain was a ghost town, at times I had an entire run to myself.

Lapped screech owl, seems like that run kind of gets ignored a bit which meant for some good skiing. The bumps did a number on my legs, going to have to get them fired up for Vail tomorrow though.

Going to PC in a few weeks and they have been getting absolutely hammered with snow this year. More so than anyplace else it seems. I'm sure when I get there, it will 65 and raining.

I'll be in Big Sky in 3 weeks, and the last few weeks have had little to no snow.
Forecast is weak as well.

Silver lining if the snow sucks....
we're taking the kids for the first time. So, I won't feel as bad about getting stuck with shitty snow.

Going to teach them the never-ever lesson on the first day. But I realized I haven't Ski-skied in over 15 years.
Really having a debate on whether to swap back to the board after their dad lesson so I don't tear an ACL.
Keeping my ACL's in tact may be worth the extra rental costs.

I’ll be in Beaver Creek a week from Saturday and can’t wait. I have had some great powder days there as typically lift lines are non existent with everyone going to Vail. Hope you hit some of the glades at the top of the Grouse lift to the right, some really fun stuff on a powder day

I’ll be in Vail for 5 days M-F. Not next week but the following. All the bowls are open, every run in BSB and the ones closed on the front (which I don’t ride a lot anyway) are ones I wouldn’t ride anyway. I’m so frocking pumped. I have two days solo then my nephew is meeting me for the last 3.

I was legitimately surprised at the untouched snow all over Beaver Creek, the comments about it flying under the radar were right on point. Just get off the groomers and you are bound to find something decent. I will definitely be back.

Skied Copper instead of Vail today since they had a foot of snow, the snow was plentiful but it was skied out quickly. Drove to Glenwood Springs afterward, the drive through the canyon was pretty cool. Going to ski Snowmass tomorrow and stay here until Monday. Hopefully my legs hold up, two days of powder has them beat up.

Yep I’ll be in BC that same time frame, can’t wait. Hoping for a mid week powder day. Vail crowds are normally lower during that week too so hopefully your lift lines will be manageable.

Fargobison, shhh! We need to keep it a secret, lol. Hope you got enjoy those 3pm chocolate chip cookies ??

I’ll be solo for 2 days and of course I get in the single riders line which helps big time. But even last year I rode Vail on a Saturday and the lines weren’t too bad. This was late January too. But I’m not having any expectations other than having a blast. Hoping to get 15-20 runs in a day which is manageable solo. But hell 1 run a day is better than sitting at my desk.

We're getting in that Saturday. First ski day is Sunday Jan 22. Any chance you might want to link up on the mountain? I'm always looking for someone to hit the Stone Creek chutes with since my fiancée sticks more to the groomers.

Considering a quick weekend trip to Heavenly in early Feb. Been following the resort info and it seems the lifts are always closed or on wind hold. Is this normal or simply due to the crazy weather?

Any suggestions for Heavenly, ski advice, restaurants nightlife etc? The alternative option is Vail but i will be going there for MG and wanted to change things up a bit but stay within the epic system.

They have a fair amount of wind holds, but i don't know if it's anymore than other resorts. I'd say that the reason for many holds lately is due to the arctic blast they've been receiving. Of course, this works out well for me since I'm headed there Feb 7 for 15 days. This will make my 19th or 20th trip there since the 2007/08 season.

Most days that they have holds, it may be the gondola only. Then it's just a matter of getting to the other bases. This is time consuming if you have to take one of the shuttles. Usually, though, you can still access the entire mountain.

Restaurants -- I stay in the village area and go to places around there. I'm not a "foodie", so I hit up Base Camp Pizza, California Burger, Azul-Latin Kitchen...all in the village with tasty, filling food with down to earth local bartenders/wait staff/live music most nights. Hole in the wall Mexican place across the highway that's good (Maya's - cash only). Lucky Beaver for burgers, open 24 hours, always has a crowd late at night. Sushi Pier has all you can eat sushi which is edible and belly busting. There's a lot of places to eat that are fine, but these are the places I've been to many times.

If you like the high end stuff, there's plenty of that around too.

Nightlife - casinos. Harrah's has a DJ a few nights that always gets the ladies to dancing. There's also a fancy, dress restricted club there, but I haven't been inside in over 10 years. Another club at Bally's (old Montbleu) which is the 20s/30s crowd that I always see some hotties going to.

McP's Taphouse Grill is a great place to watch sports, eat, and enjoy some adult beverages. I've watched two Super Bowls there and will probably be watching Burrow win his first one there next month.

Went to Heavenly several years ago and we lost a day due to wind holds all day. The Tahoe area can get some insane winds compared to most other ski areas in the country so it’s always a risk. But the views from the top of Heavenly looking out on the lake are truly amazing

Could check out Park City if wanting to stay on Epic system and not go ton CO.

Well turns out I won’t even be there same as you. Fortunately reached out to my brother in law today and in our conversation I had assumed the wrong week for their timeshare and it’s actually the following week. Had to frantically rebook everything this morning, felt like such an idiot for never confirming the exact dates.

Hope you enjoy your week and leave some cookies for my week, haha
