Same here.

I got in drtvn in the beginning. Have at&t cell service so I pay 40 or 45 (have to look after recent hikes) for the go big and hbo. Tablo for locals. Netflix for things (shared with fam so cheep). Amazon prime, free because we use prime at work. Cinema HD on a fire TV for everything else.

Seems to cover us most of the time. Just set up a vpn so I’ll see if I come across and blocked sporting events that it can help unblock.

Also thought about a iptv service...but we don’t watch tv that much tbh. Movies and music for me or a YouTube hole

You shouldn't have to call. When I did it I got on the website (pretty sure DTVN website) and paired my account with my phone number.

I love tablo, works awesome. Just have to remember when we post what our cost for technology is to include the $5 I pay for the guide per month.

Lifetime is $150. I thought about it but was not sure where I would be in 3 years with the unit. Been about 2 years.

I mean, what technology I would be using for OTA.

Yea I wasn’t sure either. But at the end of the day I like as little monthly bills as possible. So when I bought into the platform I went all in. Been about 2 years as well so its all good.

Love my Tablo. Paid the $150 lifetime subscription and purchased a 5-year warranty when I purchased the Tablo from Best Buy. The warranty justifies the subscription purchase b.c. I know I will have a working device for the next 5 years.

Also, Tablo is about to update to allow for auto commercial skip, no charge.

That I did not know. thanks for that information.

We use the Tablo as much as Directv Now. Pull in probably 32 OTA channels. 1TB drives stores a ton of recordings.

I've had DirectTV Now since it launched practically, grandfathered in at $40 still with locals and 100 or so channels.

Me too, but they just increased it to $50. I didn't know it until I saw the charge on my CC. Contacted them and they said they sent an email back in March. Sure enough, when I looked for it, it was there.

I compared it to what they are offering now, and it's shocking what they give you for $50/month to new customers. I don't know why anybody would sign up for that.

LINK

WSJ article on how ATT is hemorrhaging customers for their cable, satellite, and streaming service (DirectvNow). Yet, they still keep increasing the prices. Sounds like a great way to run more people off that are contemplating going full cord cutting.

Yeah in still fine honestly paying 85/month for all the channels I get. If I ever get forced onto a new plan I'm likely headed to YTTV. Especially if they have all 4 locals on the Northshore now. ABC is the only thing I don't get now which isn't annoying really except for some NBA games.

I just cancelled YouTubeTV. It was cool but not worth it imo.
