Might want to start here. I don't own an ASUS, nor familiar with them at all

I didn't have to upgrade. My Insider build 10240 shows now that it is Windows 10 Pro and is permanently activated.

One thing people with AMD dedicated cards might encounter is BSOD about 1-2 mins booting into Windows. I did encounter this, and after reading some tech forums, AMD cards have been a little problematic thus far with the upgrade.
Haven't had any problems yet.
And, dang. It takes under 10 seconds to get from powering on to Windows desktop...if I enter the password fast enough!

I upgraded mine last night and have zero problems. I like it better than Windows 8.1. Also seems to run smoother and a little quicker.

Can you tell me what this means?

Yep. Me too. No complaints. Haven't tried to run any games or anything, however.

It's been a disaster for me. My older Windows 7 laptop just can't handle it.

Care to list the specs or model of the laptop?

That doesn't sound underpowered at all, I wonder if something went wrong or you have some software installed that is slowing 10 down.

If you didn't reserve a copy, or just don't feel like waiting, Cnet has a guide to prepare your PC and manually d/l Windows 10:

It might be software, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. It hangs up a lot and I've had to restart a lot. Had a couple of critical errors where the start menu just stops working and so it restarts. Takes a solid 5 minutes to open chrome and some other programs.

I downloaded the iso yesterday while at work from MSDN and ran it last night to upgrade my 8.1 to 10. It's slicker than the betas I was running as VMs, except for when my nvidia drivers shite the bed immediately. Just had to download the windows 10 drivers, install, and restart.
The edge browser is nice. Tried streaming a game from my Xbox one over my 802.11ac network and it worked near flawlessly.
One thing is it didn't pick up my key from my previous install so I had to burn one of my MSDN license requests.

AMD hardware having compatibility issues? Shocked

Can't drag anything into start menu to pin it, I installed Classic Shell.
In Windows Explorer, the Quick Access doesn't work properly. I drag certain folders to it, they show up in the right pane and say they're pinned but they won't show in the left pane. I turned off show frequently accessed items, it made no difference. The Favorites worked fine in 7/8, not sure why they changed it in 10 and broke it.

just updated on my surface pro 3. went smooth and took about 5-10 minutes.
really like it so far
I really liked the touch to desktop switch better in 8.1 though.

Fwiw, I have a Lenovo y40-80 laptop. People on the Lenovo forums have also had trouble with the y40-70.
LINK
The BSOD says "Internal Power Error". From googling it looks like a few people with HP laptops have had the issue as well, but if you know how to boot into safe mode its not that big of a problem to fix.
