It seems pretty slick but no adblock is gonna make me quickly go back to firefox/chrome.
I won't touch edge until it has solid extension support which I thought it was supposed to have. I guess they are still hammering out that feature.

I have no sound. There seems to be a lingering issue with realtek drivers. I cannot get it to work for shite.

mine works fine. Maybe try realtek to see if they have an updated driver for 10.
If you upgraded from 7 to 10 maybe there was a driver hiccup.
I went from 8.1 to 10 on a relatively new computer so my realtek driver might have been more up to date.

Yeah, I had to go to MSI's website and download a Win 10 realtek driver for my Z87 Mpower. Went ahead and got all the Win 10 drivers -- chipset, lan, etc. Check mfr website first.

Only driver so far that I had to install was for my razer keyboard.
I didn't actually have to do anything. Just during the windows installation, all of a sudden the razer driver installation popped up and asked if I wanted to load it so I said yes.
when it was done, it asked if I wanted to restart and I had no clue what to do because in the background, the windows update was still rolling so I had no clue what to do. I said no to the restart.

Microsoft should've/should integrate Cortana into diagnostics and system settings conversationally. Microsoft's goal with Cortana is to have a more informal relationship with the user, so a command like "I want to change my background" is better than "Open personalize settings." And right now, the command "Open personalize settings" brings up the Time and Language settings menu. Seems like there's a missed opportunity not to have Cortana be an assistant/nanny for the less savvy, or just as a convenience.

My "special" Win 7 put put wants to know if it can be upgraded??
Posted on 8/1/15 at 2:08 am to ILikeLSUToo
Yeah, and if I say "Skip iTunes song" or track, she registers it and says "okay skipping iTunes song, but then nothing happens.
Maybe in future updates.

Fixed the sound issue last night before bed. However, woke up this morning to a buggy and ad riddled internet. Can hardly navigate the web. This shite sucks. Anyone else experience this? I may roll back to 7.
Edit- rolled back and the bug/virus is still there. Gonna go back to 10 and try to see what I can do to get it resolved.

Yeah that's completely unrelated to Win 10. Methinks you just have some malware.

Found one big hiccup.
My Kapsersky anti-virus / firewall doesn't work.

Its directly related to the upgrade though. I've not ever had virus issues on this PC. Ever. I got it after the upgrade.

Windows 8.1 running WMC on i5-4670 primary machine: Nope. Total non-starter due to removal of WMC.
Windows 7 on an i5-750 P55 and Nvidia GTX660 gaming machine: Nope. Like Windows 8, Windows 10 cannot wake from sleep without the GTX660 TDRing or giving me a black screen and sometimes a spontaneous reboot. Windows 7 OTOH is flawless.
Windows 8.1 VM hosted on the main machine: Big thumbs up.

What do you mean by this? Windows 10 upgrading shouldn't cause your internet go to shite.

I just some message:
Installation failed in the second phase - migration data...
Any ideas?
This is from windows 7 on a bootcamp partition of a rMBP.

I mean I woke up with a virus. That's what I mean. I haven't had malware virus on my rig ever. Upgraded to 10 and the next morning I can't go online without ad redirects and pop ups galore. Something happened. Don't know what, but I tried running a malware removal tool and security essentials and it didn't help. Just gonna reinstalled a fresh 7 and do the upgrade again.

I do have another odd hiccup.
I can't access one site.
I've checked one of those "is this site up or down" places and the site is clearly up, but I can't access the site.
Its just a Big Brother tv show site but none of my browsers can access it. Deleted all cache. Still can't access it.
Odd.
