My manager just told me I could expense up to $500 on work from home releated expenses such as a desk, office chair, web cam, head phones etc. I already have everything in my home office except a wireless noise canceling headphones.

For $500, I am assuming I should be able to get one of the better ones out there, but I have never looked closely at noise canceling headphones before.

If the Apple Airpod Studio headphones were out, I'd definitely get those, but since that's not come out yet, should I look at something like a Bose, Sony or the new Microsoft Surface headphones?

I've been real happy with my Bose but I can't say if they're better than the competition.

Everything I've read says the Bose 700 are the absolute best for calls. I have the QC35s which are probably still the second best in that category. My buddy has the Sonys and loves them for the SQ, but says they're very mediocre for calls.

I definitely think there are better SQ headphones, but Bose ANC and call quality top notch.

Jabra Elite 85h, great to block our noise when listening and the best at blocking out background noise when speaking as well.

Sony XM3 are the most comfortable to wear, but do nothing to block out background noise when making and receiving phone calls to the person on the other end of the phone.

The AirPod pros are pretty money and especially handy if you have an iPhone that you use constantly for music and / or phone calls.

Thanks for the inputs. I'm going to decide between the Sony XM3 and the Surface Headphones 2. Been reading a lot of reviews the last couple of days and am really liking the new gen 2 Surface headphones, with its simultaneous multi device support probably being a game changer for me.

I believe the Sony xm4's are coming out fairly soon.

Nevermind:estimates are sometime in September.

I have the xm3's. They are fantastic. My only complaint is the lack of multiple device support. Other than that, they are really nice.
