Hey Tech Board

My wife and I both have our phones paid off through AT&T. She has a 7+ and I have an X.

She’s wanting an iPhone upgrade for Christmas but I just don’t know what the best route would be. She’s wanting to upgrade to the Pro Max. Several carriers have promotions going on right now with BOGO deals and I’d be willing to pay the difference for the pro Max upgrade if it wasn’t included.

Before we switch to Verizon or T Mobile or another competitor, I wanted to come here and see if anyone could tell me what “the best” option would be in terms of upgrading. This whole thing is a little confusing to me.

do those BOGO deals require a new line tho? that is usually the deal breaker (at least I know ATT does this)

If you're a long termer might as well what till September when the 5g speed's come out. That will carry you for years down the road.

My wife and I both traded in our iPhone 7’s to T Mobile and got $700 off an iPhone 11 Pro each. Just did this last week.

The catch is it’s payed out in monthly installments over 24 months. So you have to stick with them for 2 years to take advantage of the deal.

If you don’t want to switch carriers, Apple will give you a hefty trade in on the X. The 7s isn’t going to be worth as much but you should still get around $200 off for trading it.

Get the 11 or 11 pro. Trust me. The night mode is amazing and worth upgrading over anything before it.
