I had my first experience with one at Best Buy yesterday. I couldn't figure out how to unlock it. Once unlocked I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to use as the "home" button. My 7 is still fine but I expected to be really impressed by the X and instead feel like a baby boomer trying to figure out snapchat.

Most posters here report acclimating to its new way of doing things pretty quickly, so I wouldn't be too worried about that. The main upgrade would be a bigger screen and dual lens camera in roughly the same form factor as your 7. If that doesn't impress you and there's nothing wrong with your 7, then just wait until your 7 stops being fine.

It takes about two days for it to become second nature. When I pick up my wife’s 8+ I have to reacclimate myself to that home button.

Just got one and I love it. The faceID feature is awesome. Love being able to log on to all my apps and payment stuff just by looking at the phone.

The bigger screen in a smaller form factor is great as well.

The home button will go the way of the physical keyboard.

I went from an iPhone 6 to the X and I love it so far. Face ID works great and it took me maybe a day to get used to the new gestures.

I have an X For my personal phone and a 6s for my work phone.

I never wanted a “Plus” because of the size of the device, and previously thought my 7 was the perfect size phone. Now, I can’t stand using my 6s because the screen just seems so small.

You get used to the new gestures very quickly - in fact I keep trying to use them on my 6s because are they are such second nature now and it obviously doesn’t work. Slowly driving me crazy haha.

Also, maybe it’s just me - but the photos are noticeably better on my X then my 7. Its the first phone that’s made me stop and ask my wife when she sends me pictures “Wait - you took that on your phone?”

Very easy to adapt to using with no home button. Black bar at the bottom is the reminder to slide it up for the home screen. Biggest thing I had to learn was how to kill a running app, now I know how & have had no problems with fit, form, or function of the phone. I’ll be purchasing a wireless charger in the near future.
Any suggestions on wireless chargers?

The camera on the X, especially portrait mode, is absolutely fantastic.

Interested to hear about wireless chargers. I had looked into charging pads to fit both a phone and watch but was worried it wouldn't work for all of them. I know Apple is coming out with one, but it's supposed be like $200 damn bucks.

No, what you're going to "feel" is like a fool when all late model phones (8+ and earlier) becomes obsolete and you're forced into figuring out a new phone operation or switch companies.

Get with the program and learn how to use new technology. It's not that hard
