So my Q80 came in today and I was so excited to fire it up and my crap luck strikes again. Half the dang screen was real faded, almost black and white. Now I have to send it back and wait for another one. Sucks.

Get the cheapest one. The price will be half that on a tv 8x as good in about 4 years.
Q80 is a beast.
You wont be able to tell the difference.
Hell. A $900-1200 tv would be just as good.

I just bought a Samsung Qled Q70R and love it. Best tv I have ever owned and 4K programming is amazing.
I also bought the Harmon/Kardon HW Q70 sound bar with Bluetooth subwoofer to pair with it and love the sound it produces.
My only complaint is lip sync issues when streaming video. The tv and the sound bar have sync adjustments. And while I can get it close, depending on streaming service (YouTube tv is the worst) I haven’t been able to match the sound to video perfectly yet. It is so freaking annoying to me.

How do you have the soundbar connected? I have a Vizio soundbar connected via optical cord to Samsung tv and haven’t had any issues

The sound bar is currently connected by hdmi (arc). From reading Samsung forums it’s a common issue. But I’m not at home right now to test some of the offered solutions

I actually like Vizios OS best out of the Samsung, LG, and Vizio that we currently own. However, Vizio no longer supports Hulu, so wife nixed it.
Hulu works fine on my new Visio. All the new Vizio’s also have Airplay and Chromecast built in. Built in TV apps are going the way of the dinosaur. All you need is chromecast and AirPlay.

Most people prefer built in apps. Personally I love Chromecast but the average joe wants to pick up a remote and click. This is nearly unanimous. Hell even sometimes I want a remote. I think it’s decades of conditioning.
To follow up on this topic. I got an LG B9 for my bedroom and a Samsung Q80R for my living room this week.
The LG picture is objectively better. It looks amazing watching Dolby Vision content in a dark room. With that said my Q80R in my living room looks immaculate. The room has tons of natural light, and is open concept kitchen/living room huge viewing area. It has zero poor viewing angles even as a VA panel thanks to Samsung’s wide viewing tech the implemented. It looks super sharp, and is so bright it handles all the light hitting it. I also wanted LED in my living room because it will get abused with static content, being left on, etc.
I noticed some blooming in dark scenes on the Samsung last night however it’s something I NEVER would have noticed if I didn’t have an OLED to compare it to.

You won't regret it. I got the 55" and I love it.
