First world problem of today. I've got a Samsung TV and Samsung Soundbar connected via the ARC hdmi input. From time to time, the TV will decide that the soundbar is not an output but an input and spontaneously switch to that input. Then the TV gives a "No source detected" message. Yeah no duh.

I'm sure there is some sort of setting on either the TV or soundbar that I need to engage, but I haven't found it yet.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

I had a very similar problem when I first got my samsung tv. My soundbar was not samsung (I forget the brand) but was recommended in the store to go with the TV. The tv would randomly not recognize the input to the speaker through the ARC and the only way I found to get the TV to find it again was to unplug the TV. I finally got tired of messing with it and moved the soundbar to another tv. I was given a Sonos sound bar (the smaller of the two) for christmas this year and mounted that on the samsung tv and connected that through ARC as well and have not had one ounce of trouble with that connection, so I have just left it in place. Couldn't tell you why sonos works and the other doesn't, but thats been my experience so far. All that to say; some work better than others?

Navigate Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) in the External Device Manager menu and press enter on your remote to turn Anynet+ on

Well, that didn't work. But it's OK.

I figured out I can control the TV thru Samsung's smart things app. Translation: I can turn down the Volume on the TV from the office when the kid has it up too loud.
