Samsung sound bar issue

I just bought a Samsung mu8000 and sound bar m450. When I hooked it up through a “one connect box” and turned the tv on sound cane out of the sound bar but no LED. I couldn’t control the volume with the sound bar remote, only the tv remote. Then I pressed the button on the side of the sound bar that has a square with an arrow pointing out of it and the sound went off. Now I can’t get the damn sound to come out and I can’t tell if the damn thing is even on! Any ideas???
