My Neato is having issues after 2 years and thinking about getting a new one. Suggestions. Dont need all the fancy stuff just turn on manually and let it run. My wife runs it twice a week so I think it lasted. Roomba or another Neato or other options. Crazy the amount of dirt it picks up.

Have the D6 Neato and I’ve been pretty pleased with it. It’s got a bunch of shite though. I think the D3s are less expensive and you can find some older versions on amazon.

did you call factory about repair may be way cheaper-

when they act weird it is usually the motherboard.- they will swap boards or give you a reconditioned unit(maybe upgrade) for the cost of the repair

My brother has a eufy and they like it

I have a Roomba and the eufy doesn't make nearly as much noise and is a little bit lower profile to get under furniture

My roomba gets stuck under the sofa pretty often

ETA this one gets great reviews

This is why it’s worth getting a unit with mapping and virtual walls. My Ecovac hardly ever gets stuck now that I’ve blocked off the sofa and other potential hang ups.

My Roomba 650, while it does get stuck sometimes, has run 5-7 days a week for the past 3 years.

Slight hijack. What's a good robot vac, that's budget friendly, for room to room, medium pile carpet?

For a basic unit, we are very happy with the Eufy 11s. Very low profile and can go over decent size thresholds. The one thing I wish it had was barrier strips. However, not that difficult to overcome.

Thanks for the replies. Did a hard reset on the unit and determined the battery was going bad. We'll see if $35 fixes it.

I like my neato botvac but my cat has decided he likes to ride on it when it gets started and it causes it to shut down because the lidar can't map the room with him blocking it

I was going to say.. pretty much any time something goes wrong on a Neato, try changing the battery

I bought a Neato about 4 yrs ago. It's exactly what I want, but it struggled on our bedroom carpets. It did great on our hard floors and area rugs. It's really cool to see how it 'attacks' an area. Any chance Neato's are more robust now? Any competitor's to Neato, that do whole house, that are better on carpet? I believe the high-end Roomba, which does whole house, is what I need but it's out of my price range.

Just an update. It was the battery. Hope to get a few more years out of it.
