Ok, ok, I may have been exaggerating due to my hatred of it, but look at the Ring Users Group on Facebook, and you'll see it often makes things worse. (bitter because I traded 2 Lutron Connected Bulb Remotes for one just before they started selling for $100 )

I'm on MC's side here. Money invested in a robust WiFi system to increase coverage everywhere > ring doohickey that helps in one little corner.

This is what I did, it's a much wiser investment. My mesh system is awesome and I get pretty good coverage outside my house too.

Agree 100% but when you are dealing with a cheap arse person the doohickey comes in handy.
