I have an older ASUS laptop that I use daily for work. It's held up quite well over the years (about 5 years old). However my battery sucks. I've run some diagnostics on the battery and it's only holding 50% of it's initial charge.

Have any of y'all purchased a replacement battery on-line? Does anyone have any reputable sources?

TIA.

Just enter the model number in Amazon.com and see what comes up. I bought a aftermarket replacement laptop battery for a HP for less than 20 dollars.

How long has that lasted you?

I've bought aftermarket batteries also with mixed results. Try to find reviews that were written after a year of ownership.

I've bought aftermarket ones on ebay before. 2 I think. They were much cheaper and each lasted a good while. Probably a couple years.

Make sure you carefully pick according Amp Hours rating.
