I'm cutting the cord. Getting 1000 Mbps internet and haven't decided on Amazon vs Apple TV yet. My first purchase is going to be a HD antenna to catch all the local stations in Hd
I've got several BestBuy gift cards and would like to use them and purchase one from there. Any recommendations for a quality HD antenna from BB ?

A regular antenna will do.

Another SD antenna joke? It wasn't funny the first time. Please stop.

Anyone?
Do I just go to Best Buy and buy the best looking mid-priced hd antenna?

No experience with any HD antenna, but Amazon always has them on sale for pretty decent prices.

I'm city, I typed in my address on tvfool and should get all of the basic channels. ABC CBS NBC and FOX were all "green"

I got the Mohu Leaf Metro for $12 with the purchase of a fire tv. Both work fine.

Just make your own from stuff laying around the house. May only have to buy the matching transformer for $5. Gray-Hoverman or bow tie antenna are two designs that are pretty simple to make

I didn't read your earlier post.
If you're going to put it outside, Best Buy sells the Clearstream 2V. I use that one here in Houston, and it works like a champ. Depending on where you're at in Jackson, WAPT is going to be your strongest signal. Go to TV Fool , and check your address.
When you see the power column, you will see a negative number. For instance, if I run a generic search of Jackson, MS with the antenna 10 ft. off the ground, it says WAPT's power is -18.1. Depending on your surroundings, that figure could be correct, but it's almost always a little worse. If you're putting it in your attic, subtract another 10 to 15 db.
I would definitely recommend the Clearstream 2V in your situation, as your CBS station is a VHF station. The 2V has a VHF element.

Thanks D, that's some good info. However, I'm looking to put the antenna inside

Best Buy link
ETA: Per your OP, go with Apple TV. They're great.
I have two of these (both indoors) and they both work pretty well.

Ge a good antenna and place in attic- disconnect cable input and switch to antenna- using a antenna amp you will power all your tv's with one connection
