In theory you and 4 people could each have a DVR at their house and split the $120 per month cost 5 ways and have DTV for $24 a month each. I don't split or share the cost with anyone and all DVRs are located on family owned property. At any one time I may or may not have DTV in up to 4 locations.

Ah gotcha your one of these young guys thats tech savvy. I applaud you for figuring this out but i'm old with a family and aint got time to be splitting locations with home base 1 while home base 2 is linked to the account I'll just complain like i always do and pay the increased fee

You are a fricking idiot. It's no different than a PlayStation box, a Roku box, a fire stick/tv, etc. All physical devices to provide a service. But keep thinking you are making cool, witty retorts. It's funny.

It matters what device your watching on. Sling looks better than Vue on my Android tv, and the picture on sling looks as good as eith directv

You are under the false assumption you get a superior service at the same price as cord cutters.

When in fact on average you pay more than cord cutters for the same level of service.

The directv whole home genie dvr system is absolutely better tech than what's provided by a streaming service. shite, dtvnow doesn't even offer dvr.

The fact you had to google IPTV services shows you don't know anything about streaming. Don't be upset you are not technically inclined enough to figure out how to set up such services that provide you tv from all over the world in HD.

I know plenty about legal streaming options like vue and dtvnow.

Your $100 a year iptv subscription that you've been bragging about is not legal. If it was, it would be advertised and everyone would be using it.

Vue and the like are IPTV.

IPTV refers to the fact that the TV service is transported by IP, not RF broadcasting. Most tv service nowadays is IPTV, actually. That includes AT&T, Cox, etc. So it is a bit odd that he's referring to Vue and stuff as IPTV, but it's not incorrect. The fact that some illegal providers provide their service via IPTV is irrelevant to the topic at hand, as long as he is not using an illegal service.

Eta

I see he uses the overseas stuff. Probably a gray area.

If my tv provider can't give me what I want I will find it elsewhere. I'm not going to get in trouble using an overseas IPTV service you say is illegal.

You were probably that guy back in the 90s hating on people who had the black boxes hooked up to their cable tv.

He specifically referenced an iptv service he pays $100/year for that includes 100s if channels. Does that sound legit to you?

I'm sure you won't, but you can't argue against a legitimate service by bringing an illegal service into the discussion.

Ok well Vue offers me plenty with no boxes and high quality

I would get the top level subscription if my isp wasn't a scam
