Will OnePlus last me 3+ years like my Pixel XL has? Will I be able to tell it isn't a premium phone?

I just ordered the OnePlus 7 Pro instead. Not bothered about the 855+ vs 855. 7t apparently is having some QC issues on the screen quality.

I can’t speak on the 7T but I have the 6 from its launch and still feels new. It feels like a premium phone, I’ve converted a couple of people. It’s hard to beat them for the price. I’m waiting for the 8 but if mine is current still kicking, it will be hard to upgrade.

The 6 was my first time ever using a One Plus and it blew me away.

I was a big One+ fan, and then they installed this Zen Mode crap. You can't uninstall it. It is a bitch piece of nanny spyware. frick them! I threw all 5 of my families phones in the trash and got Samsungs and iPhones.

You don't even know what Zen Mode is, do you? It is a "Nanny" app they installed with an OS update. It will disable your phone for 20 minutes if the app determines you are using the phone too much. The fact you can't uninstall it, or remove it from your phone, or "Force Stop" it, indicates it is probably spyware too. It will shorten your battery life span too.

Next time do a little research before you go into "lecture mode," Dickhead.

I have an OP3T that I am replacing with the OP7T today. I'd still keep it, but the battery isn't holding a charge like it should anymore.

Nah. Has to be activated by the user to start. And while I agree it’s a stupid thing to put on a phone, I’ve had my phone since release week and I’ve never once thought about it. Totally forgot that feature was even on my phone until I read this thread.

Completely agree, I’ve never seen anything pop up for Zen mode. This is a non issue...

I have no idea how it got activated. Notifications just started popping up on my phone, then I'd get locked out for 20 minutes. I have since learned you can disable notifications, but you still can't remove the offending app. That's what leads me, and many others, to believe that it is also spyware. Anyway, this is just a warning to anyone considering a One+ phone. YMMV

Zen mode has to be engaged by the user. This poster is dumb.

Here's my advice. Read stuff before you click something to make it go away.

You probably activated something accidentally, then spazzed without reading what the dialogue said. Then you were stuck in Zen Mode.

You're the only person who's ever claimed Zen Mode just takes over your phone.

This has to be a Boomer parody account.

You're in this thread like Rodney Dangerfield insulting everyone who responds to you, no matter what they say. And that's after you posted misleading info that could keep someone away from oneplus.

Zen mode needs to put you in timeout again.
