Pixel 3 vs Oneplus 6t

I'm upgrading my LG V20 next week and wanted to see what the tech board thought between these two phones.
I loved my V20's ability to change out batteries because I blow through my battery life so that is important to me. Neither phone has removable batterys but the 6t has the fast charge that I'm leaning toward.
I also loved the LG knock to unlock feature which the 6t will have.
The V20 camera spoiled me with the wide lense option and I do enjoy having a good camera on the phone which it sounds like the pixel has over the 6t.
Cost has me leaning toward the 6t although I can finance the pixel which wouldn't be bad.
I'll likely pull the trigger on the 6t on Thursday but is there any reason I should get the pixel over it?
TIA

There is no reason. OnePlus cameras are pretty good too. I have the 5t and the camera is very good.

OnePlus is all around a better phone, especially at the price.

I'm voting 6t also. I have a 5t and absolutely love it, zero complaints really. The camera on the 6t should be more than good enough plus it will have great battery life as well.

More of a pure Google experience. Plus, the cameras have been getting crazy good reviews from onset.
I just went from a Motorola to a Pixel 3 XL and am completely happy with it. But I would have been happy with almost any flagship phone.

Oh there are definitely reasons. But you have to decide if those reasons are worth the added expense.
I can't fault anyone who answers no to that question.

Both have fast charge capabilities.

The Pixel fast charge compared to OnePlus Dash charge is very slow. First hand experience owning both. It is ridiculous how much faster Dash Charge is compared to every other "fast charge" solution out there.
I would also argue that OnePlus's take on stock android is much more enjoyable, and useful.
Google's Android approach as of late is Apple Lite. The main thing with the Pixel, is you have to ask yourself. Is the best camera in a smart phone worth it? Or am I okay with an above average camera like the OnePlus has?

I am not sure if the pixel has fast charging out of the box
It does

That's 1 point. The pixels also have better software optimization, get updates quicker, get 2 years of uncompressed photo and video footage in Google photos.
It's more than simply a better camera. Now, with all that said it still might not be worth it to someone for the extra cost. Just depends on the individual.
ETA: my next phone will probably be the pixel 4 or the one plus 7(t). One plus has come a long way.

Knock to unlock is you just tap the screen twice when it's asleep and it will wake up. Tap twice again from the lock screen and it goes to sleep.
Great when you are just checking the time or notification while your phone sits on a table or something. You don't need to pick it up. Something I just really enjoy personally

Pixels do that as well. That's not unique.
ETA:well they wake up with a double tap. I don't believe a 2nd double tap puts them back to sleep.

I honestly just disagree that the pixel software is better than OnePlus. I've used both, have you?
Also OnePlus gets two years of major OS updates, and three years of security updates. They're updates are timely as well. Not day 1 like Essential Ph-1 but still quick.
OnePlus is eating Google's lunch with their phone. It's 90% the same phone, better in performance, worse in nics and nacks for almost 50% cost.

The camera is not a knick or a knack.
I'm not arguing against the one plus overall. I think it's a great choice for anyone.
I'm just pointing out the differences.
If the camera and uncompressed photos and videos weren't so important to me I'd get the one plus for sure. But they are important for my uses, so personally it's going to be a tough decision next year if all things remain the same.

I'd go with the OnePlus 6 instead. The 6T is a nice device but it's barely an incremental upgrade over the 6. Plus you lose a feature with the 6T as the 6 has a headphone jack

And I'd rather the physical fingerprint button on the back

This is literally the only reason why I can't get the OnePlus
