I picked up an Orbi system to expand our WiFi range - it looks from research the easiest way to set it up is in AP mode behind the ATT modem/router. I am not to tech savvy if you have this set up can you explain how you have it set up? I know there is a lot of information on the web and it seems fairly simple, but usually it isn’t when I get into it....

I turned the WiFi broadcast off on my ATT box and plugged the orbi into one of the cat 5 Jacks on the att router. It was an easy set up. The orbi app will guide you through it.

im assuming you chose AP mode in the setup.

Thats the basic way to do it. i wouldnt mess with IP pass through and just use the ATT box as your router, turn off its wifi antenna, and the Orbi will walk you through set up and choose AP mode.

Thanks, so basically go through initial set up and pair the router and satellite - turn WiFi off on ATT and finish set up through Orbi using the router in AP mode.

you dont need to "pair" anything. just plug in the orbi to the at router and use the orbi ap to set it up in AP mode.

then turn off the wifi antennas.
