nVidia Shield TV Question in regards to AI Upscaling

We're kind of an apple family here but I do have the OG Shield TV from 2017 or so. That being said, for those that have the new shield TVs with the AI Upscaling, does it work for all apps on the shield?
Example: If I'm watching a CFB game or a soccer game or even a random cooking show from YouTube TV with AI Upscaling on, does it look better? Does it look $200 better?

it is all personal opinion. Some like AI some don't.

Well I pulled the trigger on it so will see how it works. Now, who has a plex media server they wouldn't mind sharing with this ol pal right here?!

Ask the question at noon, get one response, say "frick it" and purchase an hour later.
I have a Shield 2017 as well and thought about it but ultimately didn't pull the trigger.

I find it works pretty good i can tell the difference esp when I watch YouTube tv

I apparently just wanted to burn $200.
The answer though is YES AI Upscaling does definitely work on EVERY app now on the shield. It auto-turns off when you're already playing a 4k stream such as from Netflix. However, I am just going to downgrade my netflix plan as I don't really need the Ultra HD 4k. The AI upscaling is pretty damn nice.
Just watching a soccer game via YouTube TV and doing the "AI on vs AI off" demo was pretty drastic. That was from standing close and standing 10+ feet back. It is pretty impressive.

Also fwiw, they updated the UI on the shield so now the Google tv chromecast and shield tv hi are virtually the same. Only difference I’ve seen is that if you have YTTV it integrates better with the Google tv chromecast as it has a “Live” tab that shows YTTV channels. Other than that, exact same.
The upscaling from the shield tv is pretty damn fire though. I have a hard time telling the difference from the YTTV 4K channels vs upscaled channels. Very underrated feature.
