I picked up the LG 55 Oled TV back about a year ago and it's largely been a great purchase. My only real complaints are:

1) Volume in general, particularly for vocals seem to cap out pretty low. This is the model with the built in soundbar, but even still think largely my issue is that I'll need to pick up an external soundbar.

2) More importantly, the internet strength on this thing has been abysmally inconsistent. I was getting bad buffering issues over the weekend and ran a speedtest in the browser using fast.com... it was getting 110kbps. Compared to 330mbps from my phone at the same approximate distance from the router. Is there anything that can be done to improve the wifi or do I just need to suck it up and run cat5 cable up through the wall along the same path as the HDMI?

Use a powerline adapter.

How in the shite have I never heard of this... That looks like it'll save a fork ton of fiddling around with a fish through the wall... Thanks.

Are you up to date on your software? They issued a "fix" for low sound issues a while back.

I have the B765. I had issues maintaining an internet connection through tv...lots of drops. I'm running everything through Xbox now.

Sorry to hijack

Do you have any issues with burn in? Thinking about buying an oled later this year but worried sports score bars and espn logo will get burned in.

I put a Netgear one in my mom's house to give her the ability to stream on her television that was too far away from the wifi. Works great.

I have the LG B7A. No issues so far, but have had it for only about a year. It comes with a self cleaner that runs in the background when you turn off your TV.

That said, it does have, from time to time, momentary image retention when you change from one source to another, but only for a few seconds.

I generally haven't had any issues. As HB mentioned, it has a built in process for helping to scrub it. I've had mine for a little over a year I guess... think I got it around President's day last year.

What’s the difference between the different series of LG oleds? B, C, E etc.?

I believe I have the same model tv hooked to a power line and I haven’t had any issues. Definitely the route to go.

Ultimately, all are quality TVs. The general advice I've seen is to pick up whichever one is cheapest. I bought the E, which is normally pricier, but there was an insane deal on one of those "bait/switch" shops, and used my credit card price guarantee to get it for cheap. The E is supposed to have a better set of speakers, but I'm not terribly impressed with them, but also don't have anything to compare them to... Picture quality is exceptional. As seen above, wifi card seems to suck arse... so plan accordingly.
